It all started in the late eighties with a 4-channel cassette multitracker. I got it because I wanted to record some song ideas, however the sound wasn't very god so I had to get some better recording devices, bought better, wasn't satisfied…
Yeah, I'll think you're getting the picture!
I didn't mean to start a Recording Studio, however I have recorded some great musicians and met so many great people over the years…
….Oh Sorry! Philosophy:
The art of micing has always been my biggest priority for my in creating a sound that will stand the test of time. For me it's important that a guitar sounds like a guitar and drums sound like drums.
I have customised my studio in order to get the cleanest signal path as possible. Instead of getting a big high-quality console with 82(when you anly use a third) inputs and have to charge my customers astronomic studio rates I have invested in a few of the best microphone amps money can buy.
From there I go to a high quality compressor or maybe a tubeprocessor and straight into ProTools 24MiX (The no 1 DAW station in the world) and then I keep it in the digital domain. The next time the sound becomes analogue it's in your CD player at home.
This means that you don't have to convert the signal back and forth between the digital and analogue domain and hopefully keep that great sound you created in the beginning.
The most exciting thing about working with sound is that I'm always learning/discovering something new, during every recording session, despite the fact that I've been a recording engineer for more than 10 years now, with hundreds of recordings on my conscious.

Yours Sincerely,

Per Ryberg, Musician, Soundengineer and proud owner of Studio Soundcreation .
